Mother’s Day Blues Brunch at 100 Men Hall features one of our favorite multiple Grammy nominated and winners, Cedric Burnside on Sunday, May 10, 2026 from 11am to 1pm.

Grammy nominated four times in 2025 for Hill Country Love 

The blues is music for all epochs, and Hill Country blues guitarist, singer, and songwriter Cedric Burnside is widely heralded as an exemplar of the genre’s timeless prescience about American life. Spanning three decades, Burnside’s work holds the legacy and future of North Mississippi’s sound stories, telling ancestral blues stories that honor the region’s heritage and ensure its future. These stories, monumental and every day, at once African and American and Southern and Mississippian, document the human condition and the Black American experience, from the genre’s birthplace.

Hailing from LaRose, LA, Alligator Mike has been cooking over a pot, usually a very large black pot, for decades on his family’s alligator farm, and for over 15 years at T Bois Blues Festival, and more recently at 100 Men Hall. Alligator Mike’s Louisiana cooking includes redfish courtbouillon all the way to his very special Cajun gumbo. Louisiana cooking is a diverse cuisine influenced by many cultures, including French, Spanish, African and Native American.
