About
Ruth's Roots is a community garden that began as a project of the Hancock County Juvenile Drug Court. The garden exposes local youth and community members to agriculture and nature while offering plenty of space for personal growth and expression. Seasonally, we plant vegetables, fruits, and herbs. We have chickens, rabbits, worms, and honeybees. We donate most of our eggs to another local nonprofit. Our honey is available for a donation. In the garden, you will also find a free little library and a blessings box. Please feel free to grab a book, sit under a tree, and read for awhile. Our Blessings Box operates under the motto: Take what you need. Leave what you can.
