Description

The Rotary Club of Bay St. Louis will officially start their celebration of 100 years of service to the community when they unveil a 100th Anniversary Centennial display outside of the Bay St. Louis Community Hall this Friday, October 25, at 11:00 a.m. The media and public are invited to attend. The Rotary Club of Bay St. Louis was officially chartered on July 29, 1925, and in their first year they led the effort in getting a certified Chamber of Commerce for the city, which in turn promoted commerce and tourism. Over the last one hundred years, the Rotary Club of Bay St Louis has completed nearly one thousand service projects and has a past and present membership consisting of many highly respected community and business leaders.

After Hurricane Katrina in 2005, Rotary Clubs from across America and around the world were instrumental in working together to bring a new Community Hall to Bay St Louis. In commemorating the one hundredth anniversary of the Rotary Club of Bay St Louis (1925-2025), this new Centennial Display will stand at the entrance to the Community Hall welcoming all visitors!

The Rotary Club of Bay St Louis is a part of 46,000 Rotary clubs worldwide representing Rotary International that works to improve lives and create a better world through humanitarian services. Every minute of every day, Rotary feeds someone, houses someone, vaccinates someone, performs surgery on someone, comforts someone, and provides clean water for someone.
